Trackman
iO
The Trackman iO is Trackman's first true consumer product — a ceiling-mounted hybrid (radar + infrared + high-speed imaging) explicitly designed for indoor home installs. At $13,995 (Home Edition) it's roughly half the price of a Trackman 4. First year of Trackman Performance Studio is included; ~$700/yr after that. Independent testing rates it the best indoor ball-flight data under $20K. Indoor only.

Who this is for
Honest match per persona.
Good for
- Showroom
Trackman is the reference standard. The iO brings that ecosystem to home buyers at half the Trackman 4 price, ceiling-mounted for clean install. Brand cachet alone justifies the buy in some showroom contexts.
- Performance Seeker
Tour-level data, the Combine, Test Center, online tournaments — TPS is the most respected analytics suite in golf. If you're serious enough to want Trackman data at home, the iO is the cheapest path.
Not for
- Cost-Effective Buyer
$13,995 hardware plus $700/yr subscription after year one. Stop paying and the device degrades to a fraction of its capability — the persona's red flag.
- Recreational Player
Massive overkill for casual play. The Combine and TPS reward serious practice, not the occasional virtual round.
- Family Setup
TPS complexity and Trackman's serious-practice positioning don't suit non-technical household members. The Garmin R50 is the family-friendly $5K alternative.
- Space-Constrained
Permanent ceiling mount, indoor only. Not viable for tight or temporary spaces.
