Golf Simulator Price Index (2026): What Prices Are Actually Doing

We track home golf simulator prices daily across 21 retailers. The biggest movers, current median prices by category, and closeout watch. Updated August 2026.

Most simulator pricing articles quote a number once and let it rot. This one doesn't. We probe retailer prices every day across 21 stores and 81 products, so the figures below are what the market actually did, not a guess. Tracking began June 7, 2026; this edition is current as of August 2, 2026 and updates monthly.

Biggest Price Drops

Ranked by percentage off the best price we tracked at the start of the window.

SkyTrak ST MAX$2,195$1,995-$200 (-9%)
Optoma GT2400HDR$1,298$1,199-$99 (-8%)

Biggest Price Increases

Prices don't only fall. Sim-PC and some projector lines rose on tariff and supply pressure. Worth knowing before you assume a price will keep dropping.

Current Median Prices by Category

What each category actually costs today, from the products we track. Median is the middle price, so half of options sit below it.

Closeout Watch

Products the manufacturer is phasing out. Closeout stock is where the sharpest prices show up, but stock is finite and replacement isn't guaranteed. Buy only if the current price genuinely beats the current-gen equivalent.

How We Track This

Every day, an automated probe reads the live price and stock status of every product at every retailer we cover, and appends it to a running history. The movers above compare the best in-stock price we saw at the start of the window against the most recent. Medians use the current lowest price per product. We don't take payment to move anything up or down this list, and we're not fed prices by manufacturers. It's just the daily record.

Common questions

Answers to the things readers ask most.

What is the cheapest golf simulator launch monitor right now?
As of August 2, 2026, the lowest-priced launch monitor we track is the Shot Scope LM1 at $190, though at that price it's an entry sensor-class unit rather than a full photometric simulator monitor. Prices move constantly; we update this index monthly from daily retailer probes.
Are home golf simulator prices going up or down in 2026?
Both, depending on the item. This window 6 tracked products rose and 3 fell. The sharpest drop was the Optoma UHZ35ST at -21%. The biggest increase was the Bushnell Launch Pro LPi (Indoor Edition) at +33%. Full movers and current medians by category are below.
