Comparison
VX vs EYE XR
A side-by-side look at how the ProTee VX and Uneekor EYE XR compare on specs, accuracy, room requirements, and price. No hype — just the parts of the decision a buyer actually weighs.

Bottom line
The EYE XR lists $500 below the ProTee VX, but the ProTee needs no subscription and no stickers for club data — so it's the cheaper, lower-friction unit over ownership if you run GSPro.
Both are ceiling-mount photometric launch monitors in the same price band, so the decision comes down to two things the spec sheets bury: what club data costs you in setup friction, and what the software costs you per year.
Club data first. The ProTee VX measures full club delivery — path, face, attack angle — with no marked balls and no stickers. The Uneekor EYE XR reads club data too, but it needs Uneekor's reflective stickers to do it, a small per-session ritual the ProTee skips. Both read right- and left-handed players without recalibration, so a shared or mixed-handed room is fine on either.
Software cost is where the $500 gap inverts. The ProTee VX has no subscription and integrates tightly with GSPro, so your only recurring cost is GSPro's $250/yr, which you would pay on either unit. The EYE XR runs Uneekor's native Refine+ software at no extra cost, but any third-party course play — GSPro or E6 Connect — requires Uneekor Pro at $199/yr on top. Over five years that is roughly $1,000, which more than erases the XR's lower sticker. If your plan is to run GSPro, the ProTee VX is the cheaper unit before the end of year one.
Where the EYE XR earns its place: the established Uneekor name and ecosystem, full putting included, a three-camera array with an infrared read, and the case where you will stay on native Refine+ and never touch third-party software. For a Uneekor-committed buyer, or one who does not need GSPro, the XR is $500 less with no Pro fee to pay.
Which to pick, by buyer
- Running GSPro or E6 Connect for course play
- ProTee VX. No subscription against the EYE XR's $199/yr Uneekor Pro tax for third-party software — cheaper over five years despite the higher sticker.
- Want measured club data with the least fuss
- ProTee VX. Full club delivery with no stickers or marked balls; the EYE XR needs reflective markers to read club data.
- Committed to the Uneekor ecosystem or staying on native software
- Uneekor EYE XR. $500 less up front, full putting included, and Refine+ carries no per-year fee if you skip third-party course play.
- Building a premium room on the Uneekor name
- Uneekor EYE XR. The brand recognition and three-camera install fit a showroom build; budget the $199/yr Pro tier if you will run GSPro on it.
