Comparison
Launch Pro vs GC3
A side-by-side look at how the Bushnell Launch Pro and Foresight Sports GC3 compare on specs, accuracy, room requirements, and price. No hype — just the parts of the decision a buyer actually weighs.

Current price drop
The GC3 is currently $5,999$5,249 at Rain or Shine Golf — down $750 from its 30-day typical price.
Bottom line
Same hardware, opposite business models. GC3 is buy-once at $7,000. Launch Pro is $2,500 + subscription. 5-year math decides the answer.
Both units run the same triscopic three-camera photometric stack — Foresight builds the imaging hardware that Bushnell licenses for the Launch Pro. Data accuracy is effectively identical. MyGolfSpy's 2024 testing put the Launch Pro at 1.14% total deviation across 250+ shots, ranking it the most accurate consumer launch monitor tested. The GC3 produces the same numbers off the same cameras. So you're not comparing accuracy — you're comparing business models.
The Foresight GC3 ($6,999–$8,499 depending on bundle) is a one-time purchase. Once you own it, FSX Play and FSX Pro come with the hardware, 25 courses are included, no subscription required ever. The Bushnell Launch Pro at $2,499 (Circle B bundle) costs $4,500 less upfront but unlocks course play and full club data behind a Silver ($199/yr, 5 courses) or Gold ($499/yr, 25 courses + GSPro) subscription. Without a subscription, the Launch Pro is essentially a range tracker — you'd see ball data but not be able to play virtual courses.
The 5-year math is what most buyers actually need to see. GC3 = $7,000 flat. Launch Pro Gold tier = $2,499 + $499×5 = $4,994. Launch Pro Silver tier = $2,499 + $199×5 = $3,494. So even with the highest Bushnell subscription, you save $2,000 over GC3 across five years. The math swaps around year 7-8 where the Launch Pro accumulated subscription cost approaches GC3's flat price.
The non-financial trade-offs: Foresight's FSX 2020 and FSX Play software is widely regarded as more polished than Bushnell's, and the GC3's resale value holds up because it's the industry-fitting standard. The Launch Pro's resale market is fine but thinner because the subscription model makes used units less self-contained.
Which to pick, by buyer
- Long-term ownership, will keep the LM 7+ years
- Foresight GC3. The subscription math swaps in Bushnell's favor only at the short-to-medium term. Across a typical 8-10 year ownership the GC3 is the cheaper option.
- Want the lowest upfront cost on premium photometric hardware
- Bushnell Launch Pro Silver tier ($2,499 + $199/yr). $4,500 cheaper today, $3,500 cheaper over 5 years, same hardware accuracy.
- Run GSPro and want premium accuracy + GSPro included
- Bushnell Launch Pro Gold tier ($2,499 + $499/yr). GSPro Connector is bundled in the Gold subscription; on GC3 you'd buy GSPro separately ($250/yr).
- Building a fitting business or club shop
- Foresight GC3. The brand is the photometric standard in fitting environments; clients recognize and trust the name. The Launch Pro hardware is identical but the FOR-CLUBFITTERS market doesn't see them that way yet.
