BenQ
AK900ST
BenQ's brightest golf projector, announced October 1, 2026: 6,000 ANSI lumens of 4K UHD from an IP5X-sealed laser rated 20,000 hours (30,000 in Eco). It keeps the LK936ST's 0.81–0.89 throw and its lens shift — ±60% vertical, ±23% horizontal — and adds the golf features the LK936ST never had: Golf Mode 2.0, Auto Screen Fit 2.0 for flat and curved screens, motorized zoom, autofocus and saved scene profiles. BenQ lists input lag at 18.1 ms at 4K/60 and 4.8 ms at 1080p/240. That makes it the natural successor for a showroom room built around the LK936ST, which BenQ US lists as out of stock. The trade is price: $5,999, against $4,899 for the LK936ST's remaining stock and $3,999 for the AK800ST, which drops the lens shift and 1,000 lumens. The lens shift is what you are paying for if the projector cannot sit square to the screen.

Who this is for
Honest match per persona.
Good for
- Showroom
6,000 lumens with lens shift and BenQ's golf features, in the throw the LK936ST used. For a premium room with windows or a large screen, this is BenQ's current top answer.
- Performance Seeker
Bright enough for data review with the lights on, 18 ms of lag at 4K, and Auto Screen Fit to keep the image square on the screen without a calibration session.
Not for
- Cost-Effective Buyer
$5,999 for a projector. The GT2400HDR at $1,299 handles a light-controlled room.
- Recreational Player
Far more light and money than a casual room needs; the TK710STi does 4K laser for $1,999.
- Space-Constrained
A 0.81–0.89 throw needs depth. A tight room is better served by an ultra-short throw like the ZK431ST-B.
- Family Setup
A shared room gets most of the same picture and the golf features from the AK700ST at $2,899.
