AK800ST

$3,999

The AK700ST's brighter sibling, announced October 1, 2026: the same 0.69–0.83 throw with a 1.2× motorized zoom, but 5,000 ANSI lumens instead of 4,000, and BenQ's second-generation golf features — Golf Mode 2.0, Auto Screen Fit 2.0 for flat and curved screens, autofocus and saved scene profiles. 4K UHD from an IP5X-sealed laser rated 20,000 hours (30,000 in Eco), with input lag of 18.1 ms at 4K/60 and 4.8 ms at 1080p/240 per BenQ. There is no lens shift; the image sits at a fixed offset, so the mounting position matters. At $3,999 it sits between the AK700ST at $2,899 and the AK900ST at $5,999. The Optoma ZK521ST-B matches its 5,000 lumens for $2,699 at its current price; the case for the BenQ is the 1.2× zoom and BenQ's golf setup tools, Auto Screen Fit 2.0 above all.

Who this is for

Honest match per persona.

Good for

  • Showroom

5,000 lumens with BenQ's full golf feature set, for less than the LK936ST's remaining stock and with the golf features it never had.

  • Performance Seeker

Brightness that holds up with the lights on, Golf Mode 2.0 and published low lag, with a zoom lens to fit the image from a range of mounting positions.

  • Family Setup

Bright enough that the room does not need to be dark, with saved scene profiles for golf, movies and games.

Not for

  • Cost-Effective Buyer

$3,999. The AK700ST does 4K with Auto Screen Fit for $2,899, and the GT2400HDR covers a dark room at $1,299.

  • Recreational Player

More light than a casual room uses; the TK710STi at $1,999 is the sensible 4K laser.

  • Space-Constrained

A 0.69–0.83 throw needs 7+ ft from the screen; tight rooms should look at the AH500ST or the ZK431ST-B.
